There IS a political party that does not discriminate against gays -- and it's NOT the Democratic Party.

Just read some of what the Libertarians have to say

No unemployment, no restrictions on private day care, no minimum wage tax, no protections for child labor...the following is taken directly from the Libertarian website--

Poverty and Unemployment
The Issue: Government fiscal and monetary measures that artificially foster business expansion guarantee an eventual increase in unemployment rather than curtailing it. Government programs are inefficient, paternalistic, demeaning and invasive of privacy.

The Principle: The proper source of help for the poor is the voluntary efforts of private groups and individuals. No worker should be legally penalized for lack of certification, and no consumer should be legally restrained from hiring unlicensed individuals.

Solutions: We seek the elimination of occupational licensure, which prevents human beings from working in whatever trade they wish. We call for the abolition of all federal, state and local government agencies that restrict entry into any profession, such as education and law, or regulate its practice. We oppose all government welfare, relief projects and "aid to the poor" programs.

Transitional Action: We call for the immediate cessation of such fiscal and monetary policies, as well as any governmental attempts to affect employment levels. We support repeal of all laws that impede the ability of any person to find employment, such as minimum wage laws, so-called "protective" labor legislation for women and children, governmental restrictions on the establishment of private day-care centers, and the National Labor Relations Act. We deplore government-fostered forced retirement, which robs the elderly of the right to work. To speed the time when governmental programs are replaced by effective private institutions we advocate dollar-for-dollar tax credits for all charitable contributions.

What Libertarians believe

Libertarians believe in individual Liberty.

Each person is free to do what he wants with his own property which includes his own body and the life therein, as long as it doesn't cause measurable injury or loss to another individual.

Libertarians believe in personal Responsibility.

Owning your own body means, for example, you can choose to harm it or even forfeit your life if you choose. But, freedom of choice requires that you accept the responsibility for your actions and deal with the consequences yourself. Unless, of course, someone offers to help you voluntarily; this is the true opposite of selfishness and the starting point for charity. There is no such thing as mandatory charity; such as ex-President, Bill Clinton's proposal to require charitable volunteerism.

Libertarians believe in Tolerance.

To put it personally, it doesn't matter to me if my neighbor approves of me or accepts my lifestyle, as long he doesn't try to make my life his business and leaves me alone, as I leave him to his own way. Tolerance does not require acceptance or approval but does require that everyone stop assuming that they know what is best for others. There are a vast number of people in this world that will never approve of our lifestyles or accept us for who we are. Since it is not possible to get their acceptance or approval, I would be happy to have their tolerance.

Yes, and?

Do you mind expanding on why you think this is bad? Explain your reasoning. Do you feel you are not a responsible person and the govermment must steal (taxation) money from others to give to you?
